A new report has confirmed that a WWE release described as “something of a shock” within the company took place in recent days.

As reported by PWInsider, Matt Camp is gone from WWE. Camp had been a co-host of WWE’s The Bump, NXT Premium Live Event pre-shows, Raw Talk and other shows over the past few years.
He’d also made a few appearances as a commentator for NXT Level Up. He started with WWE back in September 2019.

There’s been “no real explanation” for the reason behind the release, and the news was “something of a shock among a number of people in the company”, according to PWInsider.
People in WWE reportedly saw him as a “reliable, no drama workhorse” who was incredibly knowledgeable about the product and its history.

Camp has yet to comment on his release, and according to the report, WWE hasn’t even released any internal statements on it either.
The release reportedly took place last week, but the news of it has only just come out. We’ll keep you posted with any further updates.
We wish Matt Camp all the best for whatever his future holds.
