There has been a new update on the injury status of Drew McIntyre, after the Scotsman stated he suffered a ruptured eardrum at WWE Elimination Chamber 2024.

On a road to WrestleMania that has had its fair share of forced diversions due to injury, fans were worried when the Scottish Warrior said he too had sustained an injury.
During his promo on Raw (February 26), McIntyre revealed that he suffered a ruptured eardrum during his victory in the men’s Elimination Chamber match on February 24.
Thankfully, as McIntyre confirmed, this injury was not going to be enough to derail him from his goal of winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40.

In typical fashion, McIntyre also found a way to turn the situation into another way to throw some shade at CM Punk.
Despite McIntyre using it as fuel for his promo, PWInsider Elite (via SEScoops) has now confirmed that the two-time WWE Champion’s ruptured eardrum is in fact “100% legitimate”.
It’s currently unclear as to how this will affect McIntyre’s in-ring schedule ahead of WrestleMania 40.

McIntyre’s opponent in Philadelphia Seth Rollins’ health has also been a cause of concern in the lead to ‘Mania, following his grade 2 tear of his MCL and partially torn meniscus suffered during a match with Jinder Mahal on January 15.
Thankfully however, Rollins did confirm during his appearance on the Grayson Waller Effect at Elimination Chamber that he was just “days away from being cleared” to return to in-ring action.
In other McIntyre-related news, the belief is that he still hasn’t signed a new WWE deal with his current contract due to expire in April after WrestleMania – although the working expectation is that he’ll be staying with the company.
