Seth Rollins was written off television on the August 5 episode of WWE Raw following an attack by Bronson Reed.
Bronson Reed made his presence felt on WWE Raw, landing six consecutive Tsunamis on Seth Rollins.
Following the attack, which can be seen below this news story, it was revealed that Rollins was being written off television due to an unspecified injury.
Dave Meltzer has now provided further details on the absence of Seth Rollins in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, writing:
Rollins is cleared but is still banged up and is trying to get in the best physical condition.
His issues are chronic but not at the point to getting flagged. He’s trying to stay ahead of the things so will be taking a little time off.
We’re not sure if he’ll be back for the PPV or not, but if he is, it would now seem to be with Reed and not with Punk, which makes the Punk finish even more just a way to get out of a match and having Punk lose. Although they no doubt will get to Punk vs. Rollins at some point.
The next WWE PLE is Bash in Berlin on August 31, 2024, with only one match announced for that show at the time of writing.
Currently, the match card for WWE Bash in Berlin features Gunther vs Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Rollins was the special guest referee for CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre at WWE SummerSlam on August 3, 2024.
During the match, Rollins put Punk’s bracelet on his wrist, leading to the angered star hitting a GTS on the referee.
