There has been an update on Andrade’s WWE status following his return to the company in the 2024 Royal Rumble.
Former WWE United States Champion Andrade made his return to WWE in this year’s men’s Royal Rumble match, entering the match at number 4.
Andrade’s return had been expected all month, with him finishing up with AEW back at the Worlds End pay-per-view on December 30.
Following his return, there has been speculation on which brand Andrade may end up on, with most assuming he would land on SmackDown due to his wife Charlotte Flair and former manager Zelina Vega being on the brand.
However, per Fightful Select, Andrade is scheduled for tonight’s (January 29) episode of Raw, seemingly implying that he will be on the Raw brand going forward.
When Andrade finished up with AEW at Worlds End, most everyone in the company knew that he was set to return to WWE, as he made it clear he wouldn’t be returning to AEW.
Many in both WWE and AEW had expected him to show up much earlier than he did, as they believed WWE would want to pull off the visual of being able to snag away an AEW star who was on pay-per-view just two days beforehand.
Andrade’s wife Charlotte Flair was said to have pushed for his return to the company, and was backstage at the Royal Rumble event supporting Andrade, sporting a knee brace.
