WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus completed her latest run in the company back at Payback, when she was defeated by Becky Lynch in a Steel Cage match to end their months long rivalry.

Stratus first returned to the company in March, to team with Becky and Lita to face Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 39, before turning on Lynch to cost her and Lita the Women’s Tag Team Championship in April.
The rivalry came a year after Becky and Trish originally began a rivalry on social media, which eventually made it to television.
Speaking to GAW TV, Trish discussed the rivalry with Becky, and how it all came together.

She said:
“WWE came to Canada [in March 2022]. They asked me to host the Canadian shows, and I knew I’d be interacting with her on those shows. So we just started a little something-something online, a little Twitter war, so to speak. And I remember people were raving about it, ‘Oh, this is so exciting.’
“There’s always those dream matches and fantasy match-ups and stuff, and I don’t think anyone put Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch together, right? … And then when started doing that, people were like, ‘Oh my god, this is a dream match. Best of this gen, best of that gen.’ And people were interested.”
