AEW star Britt Baker has announced that she’s taken a step back from her dentistry career outside of wrestling.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion, who has famously melded her career as a dentist into her in-ring character, looks set to step back from dentistry for the time being, making the announcement in response to a fan on Twitter, who questioned how Baker pulled off the balancing act of her two roles.
Baker wrote:
I’ve taken a step small back from dentistry for months now to focus on AEW. I’m still a dentist, but not full time. I wanted to make sure I’m available whenever/wherever AEW calls.

Also, a long day of dentistry can be just as rough on back/neck injuries as pro wrestling. https://t.co/GHwOgJxKJU
Baker’s recent struggles with neck/back related issues has been well documented, with comments made by the 32-year-old from March suggesting that the issue was only worsening.
The Pittsburgh native’s focus on her in-ring career has come at a time where the booking of the AEW women’s division is under extreme scrutiny from fans.
This has ramped up after a fan sign saying ‘book the women’s division better’ was shown by TV cameras immediately following Baker’s match with Taya Valkyrie on the July 26 edition of Dynamite.
Baker has now commented on the sign for the first time – to read her views on the entire situation click here.
