Angelo Dawkins has now commented on his and Montez Ford’s return to NXT on Tuesday’s (August 29) episode.
The Street Profits made a surprise appearance in a backstage segment with NXT Tag Team Champions Tony D’Angelo & Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo, and NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes.
Fuelling speculation about the duo’s next move, the Street Profits complimented Hayes, before teasing another encounter with D’Angelo and Lorenzo.
Dawkins has now shared a video of this segment on Twitter with the caption:

There has been some debate about what exactly has ‘been a while’ for Dawkins.
It seems as if he was referring to their absence from NXT. Ford and Dawkins haven’t wrestled on NXT TV since facing off against Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly on the October 2, 2019 episode.
Some have speculated that Dawkins’ caption was specifically a message for Carmelo Hayes, who has been rumored for the Street Profits new faction with Bobby Lashley.
It has also been speculated that Trick Williams and NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes could join this group, with the duo meeting with Lashley on the July 21 edition of SmackDown.
