With AEW Collision set to launch on June 17, the AEW roster is set to undergo a brand split.

Recently, several absent AEW stars who are set to feature on Collision made their return to AEW television on the May 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, namely Miro and Thunder Rosa.
One other name who has been heavily advertised for Collision is Andrade El Idolo, who has been out of action with an injury since last Fall.
In an update from Fightful Select, Andrade was present at the May 10 Dynamite tapings alongside Miro and Rosa.

The report notes that Andrade was originally set to appear in a similar segment to those of Miro and Thunder Rosa, where he would walk into Tony Khan’s office to tease the announcement of Collision.
However, Fightful notes that they were told Andrade didn’t want to do that segment, with no reason given as to why.
Andrade was also present at the May 17 Dynamite taping, where he filmed a backstage segment for social media, with him expect to compete on the Collision brand.

As far as his physical health, Andrade is said to be nearing an in-ring return, with him having been working out in the ring ahead of the May 10 episode of Dynamite, but those close to him say that he has insisted that he wasn’t physically ready yet.
Andrade has now been confirmed for an upcoming show in Mexico, as well as being in talks for an event in Puerto Rico in June, though it isn’t known if he is planning to wrestle on the Puerto Rico show, or simply to make an appearance.
CM Punk’s return for the first episode of Collision has been officially confirmed by Tony Khan on last week’s AEW Dynamite show.
