Sammy Guevara isn’t appearing on AEW television due to a concussion he recently suffered with no indication of a return date.

On the October 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, Don Callis announced Guevara was not medically cleared to wrestle.
This led to Konosuke Takeshita teaming up with Kyle Fletcher to take on Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega.
Match highlights can be seen below this news story.

Dave Meltzer has provided further details of Guevara’s medical status on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying:
“Sammy got a concussion on the pay-per-view, is what happened. So he’s out until… it’s a concussion story – could be next week, could be… who knows. But yeah, he’s out.”

Guevara was in the six-man tag team match at AEW WrestleDream on October 1 teaming with Takeshita and Will Ospreay to take on Jericho and The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi).
The Don Callis Family would go on to be victorious in the PPV match.
On Dynamite, Jericho and Omega beat Takeshita and Fletcher, but Powerhouse Hobbs appeared and seemingly joined the Don Callis Family, and will be facing Jericho next week.
Tony Khan has previously discussed AEW’s concussion protocols in the run-up to Adam Cole’s return.
