Former AEW World Champion CM Punk has now responded to the announcement that he will soon be making his return to TV.

On the May 31 edition of Dynamite, Tony Khan announced that CM Punk will return during the debut episode of AEW Collision on June 17.
This will mark Punk’s first AEW appearance since the All Out 2022 post-show media scrum last September, and the backstage altercation following Punk’s appearance.
Punk took to Instagram following the announcement to share a clip from Billy Madison, which appears to share a message for the AEW locker room.

During the scene, Billy Madison joins in with a game of dodgeball, stating ‘now you’re all in big, big trouble’. You can watch the clip below.
Punk also shared graphics hyping up his return posted by the AEW on TV and United Center Instagram accounts.
Punk’s most recent match saw him win the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley at All Out 2022.

While Punk was suspended and stripped of the title while AEW was investigating the backstage altercation, he also suffered a torn tricep during the All Out bout, so needed to take some time away from the ring to recover from that too.
Punk was originally set to be included in the original Collision announcement last month, but things hit a snag when he and AEW didn’t agree on the role Ace Steel would have in the company going forward.

He was then pulled from all promotion for the new show at the last minute, but evidently things have now been smoothed over and it’s all systems go.
Some AEW stars have also commented on Punk’s comeback, which you can learn more about at this link.
