A WWE star was seemingly written off of TV on tonight’s WWE Raw after a tag team split up as one member was ousted from the group.

GUNTHER had an in-ring segment flanked by Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser as he made his first appearance since losing the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40.
In the segment he thanked Sami Zayn for freeing him from the title as now he is free to become a hunter again rather than the hunted.
He would go on to officially announce that he’s entering in the 2024 King of the Ring.
This would summon the New Day as Xavier Woods pledged to also enter the tournament as he seeks to become two-time King of the Ring winner.

The exchange led to GUNTHER sending the Imperium tag team (Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci) to ‘take care of’ New Day.
However, Imperium would lose the match and after apparent affection in the ring from Kaiser, he would go on to viciously turn against Vinci.
In the ringside brawl, he would be escorted away by security and producers until he swerved back around, and ran from the opposite side of the ring to land a final hard blow to Vinci, kicking his head against the steel steps, which would seemingly mean Vinci will be off TV for at least a little while.
You can see the entire betrayal of Vinci by Kaiser in the clip below.

After the segment, Ludwig Kaiser went backstage and was met by GUNTHER who looked pleased at the developments from the beatdown.
An Imperium split had been teased for months, and it appears the WWE Draft was the time to pull the trigger and separate them.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, there is set to be a Battle Royal to determine who will become the new WWE Women’s World Champion after Rhea Ripley was forced to vacate the title due to injury.
