The first title change of WWE SummerSlam 2024 weekend has already occurred on tonight’s edition of SmackDown with a win by the Bloodline.

To main event tonight’s SmackDown ahead of tomorrow’s SummerSlam, the Bloodline team of Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga took on the WWE Tag Team Champions, DIY, made up of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.
The hometown advantage for Gargano would prove not to be powerful enough for DIY to pull through.
In the closing moments of the match, Ciampa and Gargano were able to hit a Shatter Machine and were poised for their Meet in the Middle finisher, but instead Bloodline member Tonga Loa distracted the referee.

Solo Sikoa would sneak up and deliver a Samoan Spike to Tommaso Ciampa, taking him out of the match.
With the reset of the Bloodline targeting Gargano, he would land a poisonrana on Jacob Fatu, but Fatu quickly rose back to his feet.
With a Samoan Drop, Moonsault and finally a DDT, Fatu would score the pinfall victory as the Bloodline have gained the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Tomorrow at SummerSlam, Solo Sikoa will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
In the celebration tonight, Sikoa was given the tag belts by Fatu and Tonga, and wore them both on his own shoulders.
