There have been three WWE main roster stars confirmed for next week’s episode of NXT (November 28) including Johnny Gargano.
An in-ring segment from Wes Lee saw him thanking fans for their support throughout the ups and downs of his career.
Vowing that he would become a champion in NXT yet again, he challenged the current North American Champion Dominik Mysterio.
While Dominik made an appearance solo (to thunderous boos), he noted that he wouldn’t just be handing over a title shot to Wes Lee, instead he could earn one.
Wes Lee would have a match against three former NXT North American Champions.
In an oddly worded stipulation, Wes Lee was announced to have a match against three stars from the WWE main roster, which if he won, he would get a North American title shot at NXT Deadline.
Wes Lee will take on Big Bronson Reed, Cameron Grimes and Johnny Gargano in order to determine if he would advance to Deadline against Dominik.
As you can see in the graphic below, it was not specified whether or not a winner who was not Lee would earn a future shot at the title but we’ll keep you updated on any developments should they be announced later.
NXT Deadline is the next premium live event set for December 9, 2023, at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
