WWE has officially added another ‘co-main event’ to WrestleMania 40 night two set for April 7, 2024 in Philadelphia.
To kick off tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes took to the ring to react to his latest run-ins with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Cody Rhodes addressed The Rock’s lengthy Instagram promo from last week as well as his challenge to Seth Rollins and Rhodes for a tag match at WrestleMania night one.
Rhodes of course issued a warning specifically about The Rock calling Pharaoh ‘goofy’, saying to Rock and directly into the camera: “Don’t ever talk about my dog.”
Rhodes would go on to usher in the entrance of Seth Rollins to discuss the challenge laid before them by The Rock on SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes told Seth Rollins that he would completely understand if he were to want to solely focus on his own title defense against Drew McIntyre, but Rollins said he can handle both McIntyre and the issue with the Bloodline.
It was confirmed in the segment that Seth Rollins defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre would ‘co-main event’ night two of WrestleMania 40 on Sunday, April 7 – which certainly does seem to pave the way for the Cody & Seth vs Roman & Rock tag match on night one.
Dropping his own special moniker for The Rock (‘Diarrhea Dwayne’), Seth Rollins also dropped some news.
Revealing that he was 100% cleared for action, he would be appearing live on Friday’s SmackDown in Dallas with Cody to confront the Bloodline in-person.
Ending on Cody Rhodes saying he had a message for The Rock, he was coming to SmackDown with Seth Rollins to stand in front of the entire Bloodline this Friday to give him an answer for what is happening at WrestleMania 40.
