Clarification has emerged on Kota Ibushi’s status, following a recent update about his relationship with NJPW.
The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion officially became a free agent in February after his NJPW contract expired.
Dark Puroresu Flowsion recently stated that Ibushi told them that he has received a new offer from NJPW, and that a return wasn’t completely off the table.
In an update, Dark Puroresu Flowsion clarified that Ibushi told them that AEW is his top priority, tweeting:

Ibushi has teased his AEW debut on several occasions, recently noting that he hopes to be in contact with AEW President Tony Khan soon.
The Japanese wrestling veteran has also teased a reunion with his former Golden Lovers tag partner Kenny Omega, sharing a pitch for a tag bout at AEW All In.
