WWE Hall of Famer Edge is seemingly done with the company following his iconic return in the 2020 Royal Rumble.

Edge wrestled Sheamus on SmackDown in Toronto on last night’s (August 18) show, which he has said is the final match on his WWE contract.
Following the match, Edge has confirmed that his deal with the company is set to expire at th end of September, which has led to speculation about him potentially joining AEW in the coming months.
In an update from Fightful Select, WWE sources indicated that Edge had time on his deal added due to injury, with him missing many months shortly after his return.

In regards to a potential AEW arrival, there are many within the company that think Edge (Adam Copeland) coming in could be a real possibility.
Those close to him claimed earlier this year that him potential working in the company isn’t ‘as out there’ as one would think, with him obviously being close friends with Christian, as well as FTR.

As well as many within the company believing it could be possible, it was also something that was being discussed by a lot of people in the company even before he claimed that his match with Sheamus would be the last on his contract.
Tony Khan had shown interest in bringing in Edge before he had even been publicly cleared for an in-ring return back in 2019, before Edge contacted Vince McMahon and the two agreed that he should return in WWE.
