Mercedes Mone will face Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship at Double or Nothing 2024, marking her debut in All Elite Wrestling.
After having famously walked out of WWE in May 2022, the former Sasha Banks would go on to take time off of wrestling before returning in New Japan Pro Wrestling in January 2023.
When she was injured during a match with Willow Nightingale, the planned outcome of the match was changed from having Mercedes become the inaugural winner of the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship to rather it being Nightingale who left as champion.
