AEW President Tony Khan has commented on former TBS Champion Jade Cargill, following Cargill’s departure from AEW.

Cargill recently finished up with AEW with her contract expiring on September 15, and she was removed from the AEW roster page yesterday (September 18) – the same day PWInsider reported she was in Orlando for WWE.
Speaking on the Superstar Crossover podcast, Tony Khan reflected on Cargill’s final match with AEW, which saw her unsuccessfully challenge for Kris Statlander’s TBS Title in the main event of last week’s edition of AEW Rampage.
Khan noted that Cargill will always be welcome in AEW.

He said:
“Jade had a great match on Friday night on AEW Rampage and it was a great match against Kris Statlander.
“Kris Statlander retained the TBS Championship on Rampage on Friday night and I thought that was a great match, definitely one of the best matches I’ve seen either of them have and I thought a really great main event for the show.
“As far as Jade goes, I can’t really comment on that except to say that Jade’s been a great wrestler for AEW and certainly always welcome in AEW, you know, could always be somebody we would always love to work with here in AEW.”

There’s still no official word that Cargill has put pen to paper on signing with WWE, but we’ll keep you updated.
PWInsider reported that she was spotted on a flight out of Orlando to Atlanta yesterday, so she isn’t expected to be present for tonight’s NXT.
