A WWE star is set to depart the company following the expiration of their contract in June 2024.
Over the past couple weeks we have seen WWE stars both released from their contracts and re-sign with the company after agreeing new terms.
And now courtesy of a new report from Fightful Select we have learned that another departure will be added to the list very soon.
WWE NXT star SCRYPTS has been confirmed to be leaving the company following the expiration of his contract in June, with WWE informing the 31-year-old star that his deal will be expiring and won’t be getting renewed.
The report notes that SCRYPTS expected to not be re-signed by the company upon the end of his existing deal.
Despite this, he does reportedly intend to continue competing in wrestling beyond WWE, with Sidney Akeem likely being his new ring name.
SCRYPTS has been with WWE since 2020 and has most recently been a part of the OTM faction in NXT alongside Bronco Nima, Lucien Price and Jaida Parker.
Prior to being repackaged in NXT in 2023, SCRYPTS competed as Reggie and Reginald in WWE – most often featuring in a comedy role where he became 24/7 champion on four separate occasions.
