A new report has revealed that a recent string of misfortune may be to blame for AEW’s recent creative woes.

AEW and its President Tony Khan have caught flack from many fans online this week for issues relating to creative, the hiring of Ric Flair and a disappointing ‘important’ announcement on Dynamite (November 1).
While the latter two can’t be attributed to this, there may be a partial explanation for AEW’s creative at the very least according to some new information published by Dave Melzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
According to Meltzer, AEW’s recent injury crisis that has seen three of the company’s top stars: Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole and Jon Moxley all put on the shelf has affected the company recent booking in a big way.

Meltzer explains:
The injury situation has greatly affected the booking as so many plans are made and have to be changed and when they are changed, it’s start from scratch and develop new plans, especially since Danielson, Cole and Jon Moxley were all figured into key things and so much had to be changed which created a domino effect on all the plans.

While Moxley returned on this week’s Dynamite (November 1) Cole and Danielson’s availability to return in the near future looks less likely.
Cole recently underwent surgery for a broken ankle, while Danielson suffered a fractured orbital bone on the October 21 edition of Collision.
