AEW President Tony Khan has commented on Mercedes Mone’s status, noting that she’d be a great addition to the promotion.

Ahead of AEW Full Gear 2023, Tony Khan had hyped up a ‘huge star signing’ which was going to be revealed at the pay-per-view.
While many speculated that Mercedes Mone was the new AEW signing, it was actually Will Ospreay who was revealed to be All Elite.
During the post-show media scrum, Khan noted that he has a lot of respect for Mone and would love to have her in AEW.

When asked about the former WWE star, Khan said:
“She was at AEW All In and it was great having her as part of the show.
“I have a ton of respect for Mercedes Mone, we would love to have her anytime in AEW, and she has had a great experience with our partner, New Japan, and she would be a great addition to AEW anytime and we would always love to have her here.
“I have a ton of respect for her and have had great conversations with her, and I think the world of her.”

Mone hasn’t wrestled since suffering an ankle injury during her NJPW STRONG Women’s Title match against Willow Nightingale at NJPW STRONG Resurgence in May.
Another former WWE champion recently made a surprise appearance under the Tony Khan banner, with Ronda Rousey wrestling during Friday’s ROH TV taping.
Khan has now addressed Rousey’s appearance, which you can read more about right here.
