CM Punk made headlines following Saturday night’s AEW Collision show, and it was not due to anything he actually did while the show was on air.

After the show, Punk took to the mic, where he went on an unplanned rant against Hangman Adam Page, and we now know more information on the situation.
In an update from the Wrestling Observer, the Punk segment was not storyline or anything of the sort.

Hangman was sent to Greensboro for last night’s episode of Collision, where he was set to do a pre-tape interview backstage for next week’s AEW Dynamite show, but when he got there he was told that they would have to do it away from the building, and for him not to go to the show. Page was not booked to appear on Collision itself.
The segment Page was set to tape was not the Jim Ross interview with Kenny Omega that was taped for next Wednesday’s Dynamite show, but not in Greensboro last night.

During the show, Punk was greeted with a mixed reaction, but when he ran down Page he was heavily booed by the fans in the building.
After the clip that made the rounds on social media ended, Punk told the fans that he loved each and every one of them, and that more tickets were sold than the last time they were in the building.
M Punk and the Young Bucks do reportedly have an agreement to not say anything negative about each other publicly, but that agreement does not include Page.
