TKO President Mark Shapiro has commented on the Netflix plans for WWE Raw, describing the streaming service as “the real engine”.

WWE Raw debuts on Netflix in January 2025 with its USA Network finale taking place on December 30, 2024.
On USA Network, the show will have a two-hour run-time from October 7 until its final episode on the traditional broadcast platform.
With the move to Netflix fast approaching, it was recently reported that WWE is “eagerly anticipating the freedom to vary run times as needed” according to an internal source.

Mark Shapiro weighed in on plans for Netflix’s plans for WWE Raw during the Goldman Sachs media conference, saying:
“[Netflix] could prove to be our best partner yet.
“[Netflix] is the real engine behind Raw and, by the way, much of what we’re doing internationally, and we’re excited.
“I’ve seen their promotion plans, their marketing plans, the way they’re getting behind us, the way they’re using the NFL holiday games to promote WWE Raw moving to Netflix.
“They are going to be a battleship when it comes to helping us grow our brand and grow our audience.”

Deadline goes on to note that Netflix will be the exclusive home for WWE Raw in the United States, Canada, Latin America and the United Kingdom.
It was also noted that “additional territories from Netflix’s footprint of more than 190 will be added over time.”
