On tonight’s airing of WWE Raw (October 14), a WWE tag team saw several changes upon their return from a hiatus due to injury.
WWE Raw saw the beginning of a tournament to determine who would be the new number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championship.
Currently held by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, the tag team titles have not been defended frequently during their current reign.
In the opening match of the aforementioned tournament, the Alpha Academy duo of Akira Tozawa and Otis were set to face a mystery team.
When the team appeared, it was the returning Erik and Ivar – now again known as the War Raiders as they were in NXT, not the Viking Raiders.
Amongst the other alterations to their presentation, there were new graphics, a return to their old entrance music, and a previous member not present.
Vahalla (Sarah Logan), the team’s former manager, was no longer present with the duo as she’s out due to pregnancy.
Previously confirmed by real life married couple Valhalla and Erik, they are expecting their second baby boy in November 2024.
It remains to be seen if she’ll be back by the War Raiders’ side when she’s ready to return to TV.
