On tonight’s June 28 WWE SmackDown, three qualifying matches for the upcoming 2024 Money in the Bank ladder matches.
The first of the three-way qualifiers pitted Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae and Jade Cargill against each other in a three-way match.
After what was becoming a dominant display by Cargill, 2024 Queen of the Ring Nia Jax came out seemingly to accost Cargill and support Stratton, although she was followed by Cargill’s own tag partner, Bianca Belair.
In the final third of the match, Cargill was on the outside as Jax looked to strike but was intercepted by Belair, with the referee tied up between their fracas.
This left an opening for LeRae’s tag partner Indi Hartwell to sneak up and take out Jade Cargill on the outside, shoving her into the ring post ans knocking her out.
Belair then chased Hartwell up the entrance way as the match went on to feature just LeRae and Stratton for the final moments.
Despite a roll-up attempt from LeRae, Stratton kicked out and landed the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to pick up the victory.
Tiffany Stratton joins the Money in the Bank ladder match alongside Chelsea Green, IYO SKY and Lyra Valkyria as the names who have qualified so far.
She celebrated at ringside with Nia Jax after the match as the pair have united as allies recently.
Still to come, Naomi vs Blair Davenport vs Indi Hartwell to determine who else will make it into the women’s ladder match.
There’s also a men’s qualifier tonight – Logan Paul vs LA Knight vs Santos Escobar.
WWE Money in the Bank takes place next Saturday, July 6 in Toronto.
