A former WWE star will be attending this weekend’s Money in the Bank premium live event, with his partner slated to compete in a major match.
Saturday’s (July 6) show will feature two Money in the Bank ladder matches, with men’s and women’s briefcase holders set to be determined.
Speaking with Emily Mae for Sportskeeda Wrestling, Chelsea Green confirmed that her husband Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder) will be at the premium live event to watch her compete in the women’s ladder match.
When asked about Cardona, Green noted that he will be watching her live on Saturday, stating:
“He’s great! He’s actually on his way here to watch me win Money in the Bank.”
Green was then asked about the possibility of Cardona returning to WWE. Hopeful for Cardona’s WWE comeback, but less sure about wanting to work with him herself, Green noted:
“I don’t know if I would work with him, so let’s put a pin in that one, I’m not sure, but I would obviously love to see him back.
“Ideally I would love to see him and Steph (De Lander) back together, to do their GCW schtick, but I would take him as my mixed tag partner if I needed to.”
De Lander previously wrestled for WWE NXT from 2021-2022 as Persia Pirotta.
Since his WWE release in April 2020, Matt Cardona has teased returning to WWE on a number of occasions.
