WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has commented on plans for the WWE Speed brand, revealing that women will soon be competing on the show.

WWE officially launched the Speed brand in April, with matches airing on X (Twitter) every Wednesday.
Matches on this show are faced-paced, with three minute time limits in place for exhibition matches, and five minute time limits for WWE Speed Championship bouts.
With a tournament recently concluding to crown the first WWE Speed Champion, Triple H has now confirmed that female WWE stars will soon get their time to shine on the brand.

Noting that the women’s roster will soon be presented with this “exciting challenge”, Triple H noted the following in a Spaces session:
“It comes from short-form content. If we could take that feeling out process that talent have in the ring with each other and just have them go for broke right when the bell rings because they only have three minutes to get the job done.
“It makes for an exciting challenge for the guys. It makes for an exciting challenge for eventually what will be the women as well.
“So far, it’s been spectacular. The talent have really embraced this and gotten into the challenge of it. It’s been exciting for them and our fans as well.”

Ricochet became the first ever WWE Speed Champion during Friday’s (May 3) special episode, defeating Johnny Gargano in the tournament finals.
