A WWE star has been pulled from the Queen of the Ring tournament, with their replacement now revealed.
With qualifying matches for the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments taking place on Raw and SmackDown, WWE has also been contesting first round matches at this weekend’s house shows.
Ahead of Sunday’s (May 12) live event in Macon, GA, Raw GM Adam Pearce has announced that Zelina Vega will be unable to compete in the tournament.
In a video shared to social media, which you can watch below, Adam Pearce noted that Vega has not been medically cleared to compete in Sunday’s first round match, so has been pulled from the tournament.
In her place, Maxxine Dupri will now wrestle Shayna Baszler in the first round match.
Many fans had their eyes on Vega ahead of this tournament, with Zelina previously winning the Queen’s Crown Tournament in 2021.
A non-televised Queen of the Ring match took place on Saturday, with Tiffany Stratton pinning Michin to advance to the next round.
