There has been a major update on The Rock potentially making an appearance at WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta tonight.
WWE Bad Blood is set to make it’s return after 20 years tonight, and the main event of the show has led to a lot of discussion online heading into the show.
It was reported last week the the tag team match, pitting Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns against Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa of the Bloodline was set to main event the show, after it was initially believed that CM Punk and Drew McIntyre’s Hell In A Cell match would end the show.
In an update from Fightful Select, the Hell In A Cell match is currently slated to open the show, as of the Monday before the event.
The tag team match main eventing the show has been the plan internally, at least as of when Rhodes and Reigns filmed their vignettes in Georgia Tech.
Fightful was told that the reaction from fans was something WWE took into consideration, but there were circumstances as to why the match was main eventing.
Most talent at the show believe that The Rock will be there, and WWE does not hide when he is nearby, as it generates viewers.
The Rock was at a high school 80 minutes away from the location of WWE Bad Blood last night, where he was visiting Apalachee High for their first home football game following a shooting last month.
