Drew McIntyre reportedly came out of WWE Bad Blood 2024 legitimately “banged up” following his Hell in a Cell match with CM Punk.

The match went roughly 30 minutes and featured both men bleeding, but there’s more to that story.
PWInsider reports that McIntyre was “legitimately busted open” from the shot with the metal toolbox during the match.

As a result of that shot, McIntyre required 16 staples in his head to close up the wound.
Punk picked up the win in the match that will seemingly be the end of their rivalry, at least for now.

We wish Drew McIntyre all the best as he recovers.
Punk vs McIntyre was originally planned to be the main event of Bad Blood, but that plan later changed to the Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes vs Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu match, which ended with returns from Jimmy Uso and The Rock.
After that match and after the show had gone off the air, WWE ran an angle with Kevin Owens attacking Cody Rhodes in the parking lot, which you can read about at this link.
