Swerve Strickland has shared some interesting comments about his highly anticipated clash with Bryan Danielson on AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday.

While many fans would be looking forward to watching Danielson face off against Strickland regardless, the match has some intriguing stakes, with the winner earning a TNT Championship match against Christian Cage on the October 14  edition of AEW Collision.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, Strickland spoke of his admiration of Danielson, labelling him one of the greatest of all time.

While Strickland acknowledged that there are big expectations surrounding this match, the rising star also stated that he believes people will be surprised by what he and Danielson do on Tuesday night, noting:
“The beauty of this is that there are big expectations for quality, but people are going to be surprised at the match we put on.
“Bryan is one of the greatest of our generation, and one of the greatest of all-time. I’m one of the biggest up-and-coming talents–and looking to be all-time.

“I’m one of the most unique performers. I hope to spawn new talents to follow my template. I’m laying that groundwork now.
“Bryan Danielson’s legacy is ever-growing, but I want to be the one to seal it. This is where it ends for him and begins with me.”

Strickland is riding a wave of success after securing the biggest win of his career at WrestleDream on October 1, defeating former AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page.
Danielson also has momentum following WrestleDream, after defeating Zack Sabre Jr in a technical wrestling masterclass.
The two Washington natives’ showdown joins a stacked Dynamite line-up which also features multiple title matches, and the in-ring debut of Adam Copeland.
