Orange Cassidy may be joining a surprising AEW faction as he continues to be recruited by an intriguing leader on tonight’s Dynamite.
On tonight’s May 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, Don Callis continued to recruit top star Orange Cassidy to his dastardly faction.
range Cassidy has been betrayed by Trent Beretta who subsequently seemingly ended the career of Chuck Taylor, so he’s clearly in a vulnerable state.
No better time for Don Callis to take advantage and begin heavily recruiting him to join the Don Callis Family, or at least so it seems.
After their interaction last week, Callis was on commentary for Cassidy vs Beretta and continued to detail why it would be the best move for Cassidy to join the Don Callis Family.
Cassidy scored the win in the match, but with Beretta attacking Cassidy post match, Callis eventually came away from commentary and made the save before leaving with Orange.
However, of course with Don Callis being Don Callis, you have to wonder if he has ulterior motives.
In a later backstage segment in the trainer’s room, Orange Cassidy was getting checked out after the match.
Rocky Romero noted that if he won his match tonight against Jay White, he was able to get Tony Khan to agree to a trios title match for himself, Cassidy and a third partner of their choosing.
Don Callis reappeared back at the commentary desk however to be on commentary for Mariah May taking on Harley Cameron and for the rest of the show.
He explained his presence by saying that he was ‘always scouting’. Taz is absent from today’s show, so Callis is pretty much replacing him.
High stakes tonight for Rocky Romero as he takes on Unifed World Trio's Champion Jay White.
