AEW star gives emotional response after being 'fired'

The May 15 episode of AEW Dynamite saw Matthew & Nicholas Jackson fire Christopher Daniels as they continue to ‘improve’ the product.

The AEW EVPs competed in the AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator Match on last night’s Dynamite, facing Matt Sydal and Christopher Daniels.
With the EVPs victorious, they then announced that the head of talent relations, Christopher Daniels, was fired and had him escorted from the building by security.

After the unceremonious exit, Daniels had something to say to the Young Bucks, as can be seen in the video below, stating:
“My whole life, I was proud to be a professional wrestler. I love wrestling, but I also knew it was a grind. I was always trying to get that stability, that foundation for my life. Not for me. For my wife, for my daughter, for my son.
“All the years, all the companies that I was part of, TNA, Ring of Honor, it was always just out of reach, that stability, that foundation, that sure feeling that I was taken care of.

“Finally, when it was near the end of my career, along comes AEW. Yeah, I was super fortunate that Matt and Nick Jackson asked me to come along for the ride, to be here from the very first day.
“Finally, I could look at my wife, I could look at my daughter and my son, and tell them that everything was gonna be okay. I know these jobs can be taken from you like that, but I never thought it would be Matt and Nick that took the job away from me.
“So Matt, Nick, I hope you’re f**king happy, you son of a b**ch.”

He has also reached out to his supporters after the show, tweeting:

The Young Bucks have been on a quest to “improve AEW” over the past few weeks which also saw AEW owner Tony Khan become the victim of an attack.
AEW EVPs also carried out a brutal attack on fellow executive Kenny Omega on the May 1 episode of Dynamite.
Daniels was among the first wrestlers to sign with AEW in January 2019, making his debut at Double or Nothing in May of that year.
