A new report has revealed injured AEW star Powerhouse Hobbs was spotted backstage at this week’s AEW Dynamite (September 4).
On the April 24 edition of AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley defeated Powerhouse Hobbs to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
During the course of the bout, Hobbs suffered a patellar tendon tear injury and has been out of action since then.
Ahead of the September 4 episode of Dynamite, Fightful Select (subscription required) reported that Powerhouse Hobbs was spotted backstage during the show in Milwaukee.
Despite being seen backstage, Hobbs did not appear on the show ahead of this Saturday’s AEW All Out pay-per-view.
The report notes that it hasn’t been confirmed whether the former TNT Champion was just visiting or possibly discussing his potential return to the company.
Hobbs was a member of the Don Callis Family before his injury. Fellow Don Callis Family Kyle Fletcher lost to Kazuchika Okada for the AEW Continental Championship on the September 4 show.
JJA Sport Studio will provide any further updates on Powerhouse Hobbs’ injury status when they become available.
