A huge update has emerged on the rights to the previous theme music of a popular AEW star, potentially opening the door for a highly-anticipated presentation return.

Following reports that Bryan Danielson was going to join AEW, it was heavily speculated that he’d debut using Europe’s The Final Countdown as his entrance theme.
This ultimately didn’t happen, with Danielson showing up in the closing moments of All Out 2021 with a remixed version of Rise of the Valkyries.

Danielson reportedly didn’t use Final Countdown as a theme in AEW because it would’ve been too expensive to use as often as Danielson planned to appear.
In a 2021 interview, Danielson stated that AEW would’ve had to pay a six figure sum to be able to play Final Countdown just 20 times a year.

It has now been reported that Primary Wave Music has reached an agreement to acquire a portion of Joey Tempest’s music catalog, including the Final Countdown.
Because of this, it has been heavily speculated that AEW will now use the song for Danielson’s big entrances, with hopes that Primary Wave Music won’t charge AEW as much to use the music.

Some have predicted that Danielson could enter to the Final Countdown at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2023.
At the June 25 event, Danielson will face off against NJPW star Kazuchika Okada in a dream match.
