Following ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry’s betrayal of HOOK at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2023, the undefeated FTW Champion has sent an ominous warning for his former tag partner.

Perry notably attacked HOOK after unsuccessfully challenging for SANADA’s IWGP World Heavyweight Title at the June 25 pay-per-view.
In a clip posted by HOOK’s father Taz, during HOOK’s interview segment with Renee Paquette immediately following the incident, the 24-year-old simply stated:

This echoes Taz’s exact sentiment in the immediate aftermath of the attack at the top of the Forbidden Door ramp, with Taz previously tweeting:

Perry is set to explain his actions on this week’s AEW Dynamite (June 28), however, he has given a glimpse into his new heel persona in a heated back and forth with injured AEW star Danhausen on Twitter.
While the heel turn had been rumored ahead of time, some also believed that HOOK and Perry’s JungleHOOK team was set to go on a big run this summer,.

The story of Perry’s 2023 has been all about his failed pursuit of singles gold in AEW, but after frustratingly failing in his recent attempts to capture the AEW World Championship and the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, his failure has seen him finally snap.
It was seemingly suggested immediately after the attack that Perry may in fact pursue HOOK’s FTW Title in his desperate attempt to achieve his goal, however, it remains to be seen whether that was the sole intention behind his actions.
