With recent comments from Bryan Danielson about winding his in-ring career down soon, BCC stablemate Claudio Castagnoli has weighed in.

In a recent interview, Claudio Castagnoli, fellow member of the Blackpool Combat Club but also real life friend of Danielson shared his thoughts on the American Dragon’s potential step back from full time in-ring work.

Speaking to In The Kliq, Claudio Castagnoli said:
“I’m very close with Bryan, we talk a lot, not just about wrestling but life in general. And you know, Bryan had an absolute miracle career.
People counted him out so many times and he came back from things that normal people probably wouldn’t.

So for him to kind of, call it on his own terms and end his career whenever he wants to, I think that is very important to him.
And he deserves that, so you know whenever he decides that enough is enough, he will do so.
But, I also think you have to, very much pay attention to how he worded it. I’ll leave it at that.”

According to Danielson, he does plan on keeping up with his promise to daughter Birdie to slow down on his weekly wrestling schedule when she turns seven (in 2024).
Recently Jon Moxley also commented on the potential of Danielson leaving in-ring wrestling behind, noting he found it hard to imagine but moreover, encouraged fans to take a moment to be appreciative when they get the opportunity to see him wrestle.
