A former WWE and current AEW star has shared an update following her recent hospitalisation; revealing that her infection could have been “fatal.”

Two days after missing a scheduled appearance alongside her client Andrade el Idolo at the CMLL Super Viernes event on December 15, CJ Perry revealed that she was suffering from an infection in her finger, that had then spread up her arm.
On Tuesday December 19, Perry provided a further update, saying that the infection had worsened and that she was set to go into surgery.

Now, in a new update on Instagram, Perry posted a video (see below) from her hospital bed, where she revealed that the infection could have been potentially “fatal” while also saying that she may be due another surgery soon.
The caption alongside the video also explained how this whole ordeal came about with a word of warning to others to be vigilant in similar instances.

Perry said:
I have been in the hospital since Saturday fighting a fatal infection that came from getting a small splinter backstage at work this past Wednesday.
Please keep me in your prayers.
And everyone really take care of any cuts you get. As small as a splinter can turn into a deadly infection.
Love all of you guys and thank you to everyone who has reached out. ❤️❤️❤️

JJA Sport Studio would like to continue to extend our well wishes to Perry for a speedy and safe recovery.
