Another top WWE star recently re-signed with the company just ‘days’ before it was set to expire in February.
Several top WWE stars have recently re-signed with the company, including Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor.
Another name that recently re-signed is current World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, who announced on the Raw after WrestleMania that he had signed a new contract with the company.
In an update from Fightful Select, the deal was completed several months ago, and actually came down to the wire.
Priest’s contract was due to expire in February, and the extension was agreed upon just days before it was set to expire.
WWE sources told Fightful that they always planned on retaining Priest, and the two sides had plenty of talks before the contract was made official, with Priest set to remain in WWE on a multi-year deal.
Priest was also given full control over his new theme song, which was said to have gone over ‘exceptionally well’ within the company.
Priest captured the World Heavyweight Championship after cashing in his Money In The Bank contract at WrestleMania 40.
