There has been an update on an injured WWE star’s potential return after making a recent surprise appearance.
Former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Cora Jade made a surprise appearance at last night’s NXT live event in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Cora has been out of action with a torn ACL she suffered at an NXT live event back in January, only a month after her return at NXT Deadline after six months away.
Cora’s surprise appearance led to a lot of speculation about whether or not she was ahead of schedule on her return, but that is seemingly not the case.
Per Corey Brennan of Fightful, Cora is still ‘nowhere near ready’ to return to the ring following last night’s promo.
The first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion is set to be crowned at NXT Battleground, with Sol Ruca and Lash Legend the first two women to qualify for the match.
