Following his first title win in the company, AEW International Champion Will Ospreay has discussed his decision to sign with the company.

At AEW Double Or Nothing 2024, Will Ospreay defeated Roderick Strong to win the AEW International Championship.
To follow up that win, Ospreay went on to win the Forbidden Door Casino Gauntlet Match to become the number one contender for the AEW World Title on the May 29 episode of AEW Dynamite.
“The Aerial Assassin” has gone from strength to strength since arriving in All Elite Wrestling following his successful run in Japan for NJPW.

In a new interview with Adrian Hernandez, Will Ospreay discussed being overwhelmed by the support he has received since his arrival in All Elite Wrestling. He said:
“I am extremely surprised; I’m extremely overwhelmed by it,”
“Like the fact that this is all happening, man? I’m just blessed, I cannot believe the support that I’ve got so far, man, and it’s truly such a blessing just to be a part of this system, man.”

On his decision to sign with AEW, Ospreay said:
“It was also just like, ‘What’s is going to be best for me and what is going to be best for my family.'”
“But I knew what the answer was, in terms of like — you have to hear everybody out, man, because you never know,”
“I can’t say it enough, of how happy I am that I get to be a part of AEW and how proud I am to be a part of this system and a part of this locker room.”

Will Ospreay last wrestled in a win over Kyle O’Reilly to retain the AEW International Championship on the June 1 episode of AEW Collision.
Ospreay will challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship on Sunday, June 30 at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024.
