Following AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, Taz and Ricky Starks have reacted to the FTW Championship AEW retirement.
On the September 25 Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite, HOOK defeated Roderick Strong to retain the FTW Championship.
Post match, HOOK cut a promo to thank the fans and every wrestler who has competed for the FTW Championship before officially retiring the title and handing it over to his father Taz.
On September 26, Taz took to social media to react to his son retiring the title he created in ECW back in 1998. He wrote:
