WWE Hall of Famer and AEW commentator Jim Ross has confirmed his AEW Dynasty 2024 appearance for this Sunday’s show.

All Elite Wrestling will present their brand new pay-per-view with AEW Dynasty from St. Louis, Missouri this Sunday, April 21.
The show will be headlined by Samoa Joe defending the AEW World Title against Swerve Strickland in the main event. Now, it looks like one of the voices of the promotion will be behind the commentary desk for the newest major show added to the AEW calendar.
At age of 78, AEW commentator Jim Ross has been working as much as he can despite dealing with health issues and multiple surgeries related to cancer.

On the latest episode of the Grilling JR podcast, Ross shared Tony Khan’s plans for what could be his final year in wrestling. He said:
“Tony’s got me doing pay-per-views. At least that’s the plan today, and I hope it stays that way because I have something to look forward to. They’re big events.”
“That card for St. Louis, my God. That son of a bitch is star-studded. man. It’s like a major major pay-per-view, which it’s what it is.”

AEW Dynasty will be Jim Ross’ first time on the call since being behind the commentary table for Sting’s Last Match at AEW Revolution in March. On this Sunday’s Dynasty pay-per-view card, JR said:
“I’m awfully excited about the big AEW pay-per-view this Sunday [in] St. Louis. I’ll be flying out there on Saturday. Excited about whatever my role will be. I’ll be happy with it.”
“I feel like [the great New York Yankees closer Mariano] Rivera. I feel like I’m always in the bullpen. But I’ll come in, I’ll shut your ass down [in] the bottom of the ninth or get some outs, whatever.”

“Nonetheless, I’m not sure what I’m gonna do. It doesn’t matter, it’s a wrestling match. So I always say that if you put the son of a bitch on the monitor, I can call it. I can describe what we’re seeing collectively.”
“So it’s a pretty cool deal. I’m looking forward to going out there and participating with the team.”
“It’s hard to believe I haven’t been working since Greensboro on-air, so fun deal. It’ll be good, a good show,”

This Sunday’s show will also feature Will Ospreay vs. Bryan Danielson for the first time ever. Also, FTR will face The Young Bucks in a Ladder Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Meanwhile, Kazuchika Okada will defend the AEW Continental Championship against PAC, Timeless Toni Storm will face Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women’s World Championship and Willow Nightingale will challenge Julia Hart for the TBS Title.
