TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace appearing on WWE NXT isn’t the end of the ‘forbidden door’ plans, with ‘more to come’.

Grace appeared on the May 28 episode of WWE NXT, setting up a match for the upcoming Battleground Premium Live Event.
This marked her second appearance in WWE, with her first being a surprise entrant in the January 2024 women’s Royal Rumble match.
Shawn Michaels, who oversees WWE NXT, reacted to the appearance of Grace, noting his long-standing respect for the TNA wrestler and saying he’s “thrilled” to have her for Battleground on June 9.
With WWE also in a working relationship with Rossy Ogawa’s Marigold, there’s already been the suggestion that Kairi Sane or IYO SKY could be heading to Japan.

Dave Meltzer has explored the relationship between WWE and both TNA Wrestling and Marigold on Wrestling Observer Radio, saying:
“There’s going to be more of this, it’s going to be interesting to see who WWE sends to MARIGOLD and to TNA because they’re meant to be working with those two companies.
“I would presume that they’ll send to TNA somebody for a pay-per-view, probably Slammiversary.”

Drew McIntyre teased the possibility of a return to TNA on Twitter, point out that ‘doors open both ways‘.
His comment was picked up by TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry and Moose who both hinted that they’d be up for the competition.
Jordynne Grace will return to face Stevie Turner on the June 4 episode of WWE NXT.
