Another former WWE star has picked up championship gold in TNA Wrestling on tonight’s 20th anniversary show.
As TNA Wrestling celebrates their 20th anniversary, there was a title change that saw a former WWE star pick up a title.
On tonight’s TNA Impact, AJ Francis (fka Top Dolla in WWE) became the new TNA Digital Media Champion.
Paired with another WWE alum, Rich Swann, First Class has picked up gold in TNA Wrestling after Top Dolla defeated Laredo Kid at the 20th Anniversary show.
Laredo Kid had held the championship since TNA Rebellion on April 20, 2024, where he beat Crazzy Steve.
Francis meanwhile made his TNA debut at Hard To Kill on January 13, 2024.
He was previously in WWE under the name Top Dolla where he was most recently released in September 2023.
The TNA Digital Media Championship was introduced in 2021 under the Impact Wrestling name and would see Jordynne Grace as inaugural champion.
It has also been held by Matt Cardona, Rich Swann, Brian Myers, Joe Hendry, Kenny King and Tommy Dreamer.
Only the aforementioned Crazzy Steve,Laredo Kid and now AJ Francis have been Digital Media Champion since the TNA Wrestling re-brand.
