Here’s what happened with WWE star AJ Styles during his Pro Wrestling NOAH match against Naomichi Marufuji.
With Styles’ match against Marufuji first announced in June, many fans expected this crossover bout to be a match of the year contender.
The duo faced off at Saturday’s (July 13) NOAH Destination event, in the penultimate match of the night.
Following 25 minutes of back and forth action, AJ Styles ultimately picked up the victory, getting a pinfall following a Styles Clash.
Styles and Marufuji showed respect to one another following the bout. You can watch a clip of this moment, and several other moments from Styles’ NOAH appearance, below.
AJ Styles won’t be the last WWE star to compete for Pro Wrestling NOAH this year, with Josh Briggs and Tavion Heights from NXT set to compete in the N1 Victory tournament.
Former WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY was also in action in Japan today, competing at Marigold’s Summer Destiny event.
