WWE Raw closed out with a kiss between Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio after Morgan retained her championship against Becky Lynch.
The main event of tonight’s WWE Raw was a Women’s World Championship match featuring Liv Morgan defending her newly won title against former champ, Becky Lynch, in a steel cage match.
Morgan has participated in multiple Elimination Chamber matches but never a singles cage match, unlike Lynch, who had a cage match against Trish Stratus last year.
Just like their match at King & Queen of the Ring, there was outside interference from Dominik Mysterio.
Mysterio came out and opened the cage door, shouting for Becky Lynch to come through it.
However, his fellow Judgment Day members JD McDonagh and Finn Balor came out, telling him not to get involved.
One problem… Braun Strowman had trying to find McDonagh all night, and coming out to ringside wasn’t the smartest idea.
Braun Strowman started chasing McDonagh, and in doing so, ran into Mysterio, shoving him into the open cage door, causing it to smash into Becky Lynch’s face as she was about to go through it.
With Lynch now down, Liv Morgan escaped and retained the Women’s World Championship.
What happened from this point was that Morgan and Dominik Mysterio locked eyes on the ramp and kissed as the show went off the air.
It certainly didn’t seem that Mysterio was the instigator and he was visibly confused afterwards, but didn’t exactly try to stop Morgan.
The kiss was apparently missed by viewers on USA Network as the show cut out before that point.
The match also had an added dose of intrigue since it has been reported that Becky Lynch’s current WWE contract is set to expire at the end of this month, alluding to the main event possibly being her final match in WWE.
