On tonight’s WWE Raw, the tournament to determine who would become number one contender to the WWE Intercontinental Championship began.

Over the next two weeks, there will be four triple threat matches (two per week) to determine the four who will advance to a fatal four-way in two weeks on Raw to crown an overall winner.
The winner of that four-way will be the #1 contender for Bron Breakker’s Intercontinental Title.

On tonight’s show, the first of the night’s two triple threats featured Karrion Kross, Kofi Kingston and Jey Uso.
In the end, Jey Uso was able to pin Karrion Kross and secure a spot in the four-way match in two weeks.

In a match still to come tonight, Xavier Woods, Pete Dunne and The Miz will also have a triple threat match to determine who else will advance from this week.
In the second three-way tonight, it was Pete Dunne who picked up the win to qualify for the four-way final.
The lineups for the two triple threats for next week haven’t been announced as of this writing, other than Dominik Mysterio confirming he’ll be in one of them.
