After making an appearance on last night’s episode of WWE NXT, Randy Orton has commented on the future prospects of one young star.
Randy Orton wrestled Je’Von Evans in a match to close last night’s WWE NXT (October 8) near St. Louis, Missouri and has now spoken about the experience.
In an interview shared by WWE, Randy Orton praised Je’Von Evans after the bout, noting that he had a bright future ahead of him.
Orton said:
“I got to work with an incredible talent tonight, only 20 years old. Dude, I’m very excited to see where he goes in the future. He’s gonna be around for as long as he wants to be.
“We have a lot in common, but there’s a lot between us, there’s a lot of differences, let’s just say. I think he needs to keep doing what he’s doing, but what I noticed, first and foremost, after just meeting him for the first time today, he’s incredibly humble.
“He has nothing but respect for the business and the guys like me, the old fuddy-duddies that have been here for over 20 years, and you know what, that means a lot to me. That respect for our industry, it goes a long way, so that respect, I give right back to him tenfold.”
Speaking of bright futures, the move from the USA Network to The CW has not seemed to slow down the popularity of the show.
For last night’s episode, NXT reportedly garnered the attention of 874,000 viewers.
