The backstage reaction to Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE debut on last night’s episode of NXT on the CW has been revealed.
After months of speculation, Stephanie Vaquer made her first appearance on WWE television on the final episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network back on September 24.
Stephanie made her first in-person appearance on last night’s episode of NXT in St Louis, where she came to the aid of Giulia to help fight off Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade.
In an update from Fightful Select, NXT officials were said to be ‘very happy’ with how Stephanie’s debut was received.
The segment ended with both Giulia and Vaquer picking up the NXT Women’s Championship, teasing a future match up between the two.
Stephanie is set to make her in-ring debut for the NXT brand on next week’s episode of the show, when she faces off with Wren Sinclair.
Last night’s show was main evented by Randy Orton taking on Je’von Evans in Orton’s hometown of St Louis.
There is said to be no heat on Je’von following a botched ending to the match.
